I remind myself each day of this well known saying:
Yesterday is History, Tomorrow is a Mystery, and Today is a Gift
Each day I am thankful for the gifts of the day. There are so many gifts given to each of us each day - small fleeting moments, a smile, a word, a thought, actions, beauty in nature. Each day for the rest of March, I endeavour to post to show something of what the day has gifted.
So today! The gift of the day - wind and air and sun.
A blustery spring day. I gently washed two fleeces by soaking them in cold water overnight and this morning draped them over the line to dry.
I love the images of the white fleece dancing in the wind and the daffodils, just starting to open, dancing in the wind.

Vibrant yellow - reminds me of the sun.
Soft white - reminds me of the clouds.
And even a gift for the creatures of the air. Fleece blown off the line and caught on branches for the birds to line their nests with.
Anyone care to join me with sharing the gift of the day? Each day, or even one day during March. How much we have to to love and be thankful for each moment, every single day.
Lovely, especially love your clouds drying on the line!
ReplyDeleteThe gift of today for me was discovering the lovely red veined sorrel in the garden has grown some lovely leaves that I think will become part of my lunch, yum.
Such a lovely post and such a lovely idea Kelly :)
ReplyDeleteMuch LOve

Beautiful! What a wonderful idea. So many gifts all around all the time. My gift of the day is my girls giggling together right now as I write this.

What a wonderful idea, Kelly. I love your photos of the fleece on the line and the little bit for the birds - I can just picture a bird family snuggling into a warm, cozy, fleecy nest.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful words, ones that we should all remember, especially on 'those days'.
ReplyDeleteWe had such a blustery day that the new chicken coop was blown up in the air and smashed into pieces. Thank goodness there were no chickens in it at the time.

Your first picture of the yellow daffodil is what we've been checking our flower beds for each morning :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post!
I simply love this idea...celebrating the gift of the day. I am with you on it! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd the fleece drying in the wind is so pretty and dreamy...
Thank you for sharing that saying with us. I had not heard it before -- maybe because today was just the right day for the words to come to me -- my gift for the day, if you will.
ReplyDelete:-)
I envy your fleece. I am a spinner at heart. Only at heart because I've never touched a spinning wheel before. I'm getting close though. I have a bad case of fiber love and a new friend who spins!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful photos as always, I'm also thankful for the gift of being a mama and living in the joy of a spring awakening:)
