The boys covered the candles with glue, selected their pressed flowers and ferns, stuck them where they wanted them to go and then pressed them on with another layer of glue. They are very happy with the finished decorated candles.
Thanks everyone. What the boys love about this is that it is easy to do so they feel a sense of achievement and they can use the candles too which makes them feel proud.
What lovely works of craft. I can just imagine a nice warm bath with the only light coming from these two candles. My little livy takes a garden walk before bath time most nights and places all our favourite petals in the water. I will have to show her how to place them on candles too.
