Back from France
We've just returned from a wonderful holiday in France. We stayed in a cottage bordering on precious, protected sand dunes followed by huge stretches of beautiful beaches. The French seaside village we stayed in was tranquil and sleepy and very French - not a tourist spot - so it was perfect to enjoy the French people, culture, language and beautiful landscape. Steeped in history too. What a magnificent time we had!

ReplyDeleteThanks - it was a fantastic holiday. The boys had such a fabulous time exploring rockpools especially. Time away is good for renewing energy and reassessing isn't it? Eager to get to the rare breeds farm and get some new fleeces!!

ReplyDeleteWhat is it about having a whole beach to yourself...Its like a lovely gift isn't it. I can just imagine your little troop loving the rockpools. Aaron and I ended up playing a little game . The beach was full of shells and lovely treasures. We dared each other not to look down as we walked. You can imagine the pull to look down! We had some good laughs....French food...oh my. I have always said a holiday for me is tasting the foods and walking the markets. Luck you

Did you live here too? Would love to know more - where and for how long. We started out in London and did a bit of travelling - 10 years ago now. Time flies. We'll head back to Southern Africa at some point.
