Shrove Tuesday

Batches and batches of pancakes made last Tuesday. Covered with blueberries and raspberries and strawberries and lavender honey and some with yoghurt. We are all still talking about them and still reading 'The Giant Pancake'.

Shrove Tuesday

Today was Pancake Day and what a feast we had.  So many pancakes were gobbled up!  The Big Pancake story was told too.

I have discovered that if part of the milk in the recipe is substituted for a part of bubbly, mineral water, the pancakes turn out so much better - really thin, light and airy.  We enjoyed them with a few drops of freshly squeezed orange juice, raspberries, strawberries and syrup.
