Ready for Martinmas

Happy Martinmas!
Our lanterns are drying, ready for our lantern walk this evening.  This year we covered balloons with tissue paper using PVA glue mixed with equal amount of water.  Two of our lanterns are made with white tissue paper with autumn leaves tucked in amongst the layers.
The last of our eggs have hatched. We have seven chicks. This beautiful little chick is Gem - the youngest and only light grey chick.  Adorable!

    Oh, that chick is ADORABLE! And I'll bet those lanterns, while beautiful in daylight, are just STUNNING lit at night.
