Chinese New Year - Year of the Tiger

Chinese New Year - we have been really enjoying ourselves since 14 February. 'Kung Hay Fat Choi' shout the boys each day! They have been staging lion dances and dragon dances. Laughing buddhas happily running about the house. Playing at Chinese restaurants serving all sorts of delicious meals. Lots of Chinese stories, chatting about the culture, the festival and all sorts of wonderful fun. We have also been laminating Chinese New Year themed pictures. We made this mural of the 12 Chinese animals. We were going to make felt animals to sew on but it was decided laminated animals were a much better idea.

We are looking forward to making lanterns for a culminating lantern celebration.
