Puppetry - Peter and the Wolf

On the weekend we took the boys to a very engaging and enchanting adaptation of Sergei Prokofiev's 'Peter and the Wolf' performed with the use of mime, puppets, storytelling and live music.  Whilst we regularly take the children to various suitable performances, to witness the children's sheer delight and to observe the effect on their senses of such a performance presented so simply, has inspired me to keep working on my puppetry, storytelling skills and movement games.  Two fantastic resources are Bronja Zahlingen's book 'A Lifetime of Joy' and Suzanne Down's Juniper Tree Puppets.

What a fun blog. I love all of the weaving photos you have on your blog. And the nature table photos. And the Michaelmas dragon photo. And the....etc. ;)
