Last Christmas season I began knitting a nativity scene based on this book, Knitivity, Create your own Christmas Scene by Fiona Gable.
Well, I was far from completing it last year so am still at it for this year! It is a lovely little book. I am knitting the ox this weekend and I am determined to get it all done on time this year!

Lovely, keep up the good work. I picked up that book in a charity shop recently, although no plans to knit it at present (along with other nativity patterns I have ;-)).
ReplyDeleteLovely to see a set coming together over time, I'm slowly felting a set for my parents and in-laws x
oh this is so cool. we have a felt nativity that I started making a few years ago and every year I am adding to it. This year I am hoping to knit some little sheep for the shephers. This is wonderful and really great for the boys to play with :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, how sweet!
ReplyDeleteBenjamin loves nativity scenes. Ever since he was a toddler he's been enthralled by the,. He used to put his play food in the stable for Baby Jesus to eat ~ ha, ha.
It will be worth it, your scene looks great so far! Looking forward to seeing the finished set... xx
ReplyDeleteLooking good so far. About four years ago I picked up a book for knitting advent figures......still not started it!
ReplyDeleteIt would be lovely to have such a great set to bring out year on year. And one that can be played with too, what more could you need
xx
Looks good :) I love the knitted nativities (I made one a few years back from an Alan Dart pattern) because the kids cannot break THAT baby Jesus :)
