Settling in

We are settling in to our new home and really loving being here.  Our new neighbours are cows and sheep.  So far we all seem to be getting on well.
The cows are so inquisitive and come right up to the hedge that separates their field and our garden.  It is so quiet here.  The countryside is beautiful and the farm is very green, very peaceful.  In the evenings we can hear owls for miles about and the foxes too.  At dusk we have been watching bats flutter about outside.  On clear nights we can see the stars in the night sky so clearly.
We found a little frog in our pond which we had set up just days before.  The first visitor to our pond!
There is a brook which we have been enjoying exploring.  A place I know we will spend a lot of time at.
And a lake not far away to explore.
With beautiful black swans.

And a pair of doves in our garage with two young ones.  Today, one of the young birds sat on the window ledge and Sol walked straight up to it and picked it up.  I think it has grown accustomed to us being in there.  It sat on the boys' shoulders and hands so peacefully.
