Our little woodland friends are stirring. We took a peek under rotting logs and tree stumps on the woodland floor to see what littles we could find.
Millipedes, baby snails, slug and slug eggs.
We made sure we closed the door behind us when we left, that is, we gently replaced the logs after saying hello.

So much to discover in the woods now! We haven't found any slug eggs yet, but will keep looking.

But...seeing these multi-legged little under-a-log goodies makes me excited for spring & walks in the woods!!
there's nothing more fun than lifting up a log and waking your forest neighbors to say hello!!!
