Woodland friends

Our little woodland friends are stirring.  We took a peek under rotting logs and tree stumps on the woodland floor to see what littles we could find.

Millipedes, baby snails, slug and slug eggs.
We made sure we closed the door behind us when we left, that is, we gently replaced the logs after saying hello.

  1. So much to discover in the woods now! We haven't found any slug eggs yet, but will keep looking.
I did find a millipede making his way across the floor of the solar shower this morning!

  3. Wonderful! Oh my...I'm so happy I stopped by this morning.

You see, I'm sick. My whole body aches. I feel like my head weighs twenty pounds.

But...seeing these multi-legged little under-a-log goodies makes me excited for spring & walks in the woods!!
