We had a very special visitor hop into our home this week.
I think he came to thank us for all the special valentine bird treats we left out for the birds at Valentine and throughout the winter we have fed the birds.
He was so peaceful. Not unwell at all. Just came for a visit.
And then we took him outside again, placed him on a branch and he stayed there a bit and off he flew. And because of the impact his visit had on us, I have grasped hold of the teachable moment and we are learning about robins and telling bird stories and for 2nd Grade, St Francis, which I had planned for March but brought forward to now!
Thank you for visiting us, little Robin Redbreast!

Oh Kelly! This is amazing! I've always felt you and your family are kind and gentle and close to nature, but even the little birds know it. What a special treat to have a robin trust your little ones enough to be so near. This is just an incredible post! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is an incredible experience to have had! I am so envious!

ReplyDeleteSo wonderful that he came to share with you! I would feel so blessed!
This reminds me of a bird that came to visit us when I was a kid. He slew down and landed on a neighbors shoulder one day..... and stayed a few days bouncing in between a few houses and hanging out with us kids. It was so cool!!! What a great experience for kids!
