Thanks Dawn. Yes, I made him myself. I needlefelted his head and arms. Used felt for his grey robe and knitted his cloak. We thought the grey/brown yarn was a perfect reflection of winter here on the farm. My husband doesn't like him though! He says this King Winter reminds him of a girl he went to primary school with! What!!!
Oh Kelly, your season table looks magical and amazing! I love all the little bits you have made. I am really inspired to give ours a make over now. Our pot of hyacinths burst into bloom on there this morning though, so ours will begin to look like Spring I think :)
Kelly I love the winter aconite, it must be so pretty,, your own little sunny like flowers shining rays on you.
I love your little King Winter, I made one a long time ago and then I made a Winter Queen, but I haven't put it out this year because we don't have snow....and it's quite hot here at the moment, might confuse the boys a little.
Your husband doesn't like him.....to funny, maybe her nose was the same.. or the white hair! He's precious and I'm sure the boys like him.
Sasha was so cute on the beach the other day, there was an old lady lying on the beach chair with the greyest/whitest hair... Sasha says mamma look how pretty that ladies hair is,, it's so shiny and white. All beauty in the eyes of a child! I am making a doll for Sasha I just completed the wig, I can't wait to show you, he's so adorable. Much love to you my friend, have a beautiful week. Of to cuddle my babesxxx
Your King Winter is so beautiful Kelly:) It feels as if we are going to experience an early Autumn here in the south. Erin has already noticed that some of the Oak trees have started to turn a little yellow on their leaves. Wishing you a wonderful and restful weekend dear friend:) xo xo Linda
Lovely, did you make him yourself?
