Roman villa and mosaics

The area in which we live is rich in Roman history. We recently visited a nearby roman villa and a museum with lots and lots of Roman displays.

Here you can see the underfloor heating system.

Exquisite mosaics. Mosaics were used instead of carpets to cover floors in rich Roman houses.

The famous hunting dogs.

  7. Dear friend~!

I have sat down this morning determined to visit everyone possible. I hope you are well. Spring has got me all outside in the garden and out and about. How my children would love to see this Roman villa. My German sister in law lives in an old Roman village. We have visited the old ampitheatre there and the feeling is unbelievable. What an experience. Kelly how are all the little boys?

A happy day to you my friend
    Love
