When I was a child in the 70's my mother took me and my sister on nature walks, and I had a nature box that was one of my prized posessions as a child. I took my own children an nature walks as well, and they had nature boxes as well. I love your idea of using the egg cartons, what a great way to keep and display your finds. Such a great activity for little ones! I'll have to show this to my daughter -- maybe she can add it to her babysitter's bag of tricks!
