We celebrated Candlemas yesterday. One of the activities we did was to make our earth candles to warm up the earth. We do this every year. It has become a tradition. Each year, for each festival we celebrate I vary stories and activities although favourites stick. It is enriching and rewarding when the festivals and related activities become family tradition.
I love the contrast of the warm, yellow of the beeswax and flame against the cold, brown earth.
How lovely, Kelly! I bet it looks stunning at night with them all lit up.
ReplyDeleteI love this idea but have yet to have a go. It's snowing again here so I think snow candles might be more our thing right now ;)
