Later, we all put little autumn bulbs to sleep in the soil for the autumn gnomes to tend to until they are ready to awake in the spring.

Our favourite autumn song/verse:
Yellow the bracken, golden the sheaves,
Rosy the apples, crimson the leaves,
Mists on the hillside, clouds grey and white,
Autumn good morning, summer good night.
- F Hoatson
Your Autumn mist looks magical.

ReplyDeleteSo, do we plant our bulbs in Autumn? I am determined to have bulbs in Spring and must learn how and when to plant them.
Thank you so much for sharing on Friday's Nature Table.
Blessings and magic
The tone you set with your posts is just so lovely. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteWe have been singing that song a lot lately too. I love Noah's little hand in the dirt! Happy Autumn to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing misty photo! I'm thinking that might become inspiration for a watercolor...
ReplyDeleteThank you for all your lovely words, dear friends! It is amazing how nature is filled with magic and can instantly energise us!
ReplyDeleteHi magiconions, I love the distinct seasons in England. There is lots of beauty to be seen everywhere. This is the tiem to plant bulbs to awaken in spring. It is great fun planting them all over the garden - daffodils, snowdrops, tulips, hyacinths, crocuses...all so bright and beautiful!
Blessings to you all this week!
I saw that verse somewhere else with no attribution and am so grateful to know who wrote it! I love autumn too.. especially early autumn. It's my favorite season.
