Picking blackberries

What would summer be without blackberry picking?  A great favourite late summer activity of ours! We have so many delicious, juicy, organic blackberries growing all about on this organic farm.  Sometimes we battle tall grass, nettles and thistles to get to them but it is all well worth it. We eat lots and lots and also pick tubs full to take home and freeze.  Of course, we always leave plenty for the birds and anyone other creatures to enjoy.

Our dog just loves them too and does his fair share of picking and eating!

We eat them through winter in apple pies, stirred into natural yoghurt, or blended up into delicious smoothies.  Hooray for blackberries!  A fabulous free food.

  2. Good morning Dear Kelly

What a beautiful face eating those berries. Look how he thoughtfully chose the black one and not the red unripe ones.

I hope you are all well. Hugs all round to those sweet little freeflowing boys.
