Spindling

I am spindling grey wool into knitting yarn to knit a grey donkey for Sol. Leo's brown donkey has been knitted and I need to sew it and stuff it now.

  2. Hi Kelly!

Love the fungi photos and your spindled wool looks beautiful, I have just recently bought a spinning wheel, I have no idea how to use it yet, but I am learning! I also enjoy spinning on a spindle. Happy spinning!

  3. Spinning is so therapeutic. I was lucky enough to get my spinning wheel from a very experienced spinner who has been spinning for more than 30 years. She kindly gave me a lesson. She said it is good to find the time to spin for half an hour a day. I have a lot to learn. Spindles are great though - best place to start and easily portable. The children quite like spinning the spindle round too. Gandhi was a spinner too! What wheel do you have, Linda?

  5. Hi Kelly

I have an Ashford wheel and the previous owner had it for 12 years, it is in beautiful condition, but she stays really far away from me, so she couldn't teach me. I have a friend that spinns, and she has been talking me through it. She also lives far away, but I think I will get the hang of it soon. What wheel do you have Kelly?
